Your consistency of views is the number one indicator of the health of your channel. Pull up your own channel and follow along as Nate explains the concept. A channel that has a very inconsistent view count has not clearly identified their channel archetype. Ask yourself why your viewers watching the video on your channel?

When your consistency of views go up, you get more people watching consistently and the algorithm follows that. When a channel has inconsistent views, the algorithm can't draw a clear profile on what type of audience likes their videos on an on-going basis.

If you're seeing inconsistent baseline views, it can be because of two reasons.

1. Your archetype ratio is mixed up.
2. Your core content buckets are not right.
