Strategies For Running a System

Planning

• Most of your work is done for you if you do planning right.
• Template for your outlines
• Idea - Title - Thumbnail - Key Points - CTA - Things needed to complete (research, resources, locations to record)
• BONUS: Description, pinned comment

Recording

• Home base: Camera location, background, lighting, audio
• Look at the gear pages on Channel Makers for the latest recommendations.
• Plan the shots you need. (More variety is almost always better.)
• Get 1% better every video.

File Storage

• Everyone will find a solution that works best for them.
• Make it methodical and meticulous, have redundancies where possible.
• How I do it. (Folders for raw files for video, raw files for thumbnail)

Editing

• Automate as much as you can: keep a template of common elements, keep your elements stored in a logical way that makes it easy to find again.
• Get 1% better every video (That doesn't mean more time, it means better.)

Uploading

• This step is simple copy and paste when you've planned well.
• Description
• General rule: Do it at least 24 hours in advance (video processing, but also for stress levels). Exception is in the moment or last minute news or trend content.

The better your system is, the better you're able to scale.
