External Backlinking

  • Place a link on a 3rd party site that links back to this site
  • Make sure you are using the public URL and not the CMS URL
  • To increase the value of the content we need unique, original content such as tables and data matrix that is rare for someone to replicate without doing a copy-paste.  Instead, they would link back to our site.
  • Don't use social media sites or sites where the content disappears over time.  Pinterest is an expectation if you have a unique image you can use.
  • It is very important that the backlink that is placed on another site be relative to the content being talked about.
    • For example, DON'T places a computer repair link on a recipient comments section for Geek Computer.
  • When looking at possible sites remember to keep in mind "Meaning of your query" & "Relevance of webpage" to the content on the 3rd party website page.
  • We DON'T buy or do trades for links period, all link needs to be in a natural form that makes sense to be placed wherever they are.  See the sample as a good example of the relevance and it adds value to that conversation by providing a well-thought-out resource.
  • Industry outreach is allowed if they make sense to add value.
  • If you have not written an article yet pick one that this not yours and submit it to a 3rd party site using the direction above.
  • The objective with backlink is to provide a resource for our site that is not a personal profile of yours or friends of yours.  All backlink should be search content you found discussing a topic and providing simple details to answer that content with a backlink to our site to read more.
