Real, benefits-focused reason (Value proposition, what's in it for them?

 

  • Time saved
  • Money saved
  • Convenience
  • More access/help
  • Better experience
  • Dream/goals helped
  • Walk through value for audience, show the connection so that their benefit received is greater than their money.

Join your (paid) YT channel membership/Patreon

 

  • Used to be more "support me" type content, isn't as effective
  • more access/help
  • Additional content, behind-the-scenes
  • Give people content that saves time/money
  • Teach you how to do what I'm doing
  • Longer versions of the same content, bloopers
  • Early access to content
    Avoid: more of the same

Examples:

 

  • Gaming channel: content you don't share publicly, support channel, fun/funny stuff going on behind the scenes
  • Stock Moe example, different type of content

Purchase something from a known site (like Amazon)

 

  • I did the work of testing this for you, finding the best one
  • These are my favorites/use these all the time
  • convenience of being better at something, you recommend it

Examples:

 

  • Using my link to buy the product supports my channel
  • This is the blender I always use
  • This is complete list of things to do this project

Purchase something from your site or an unknown site (1 time)

 

  • Reasons to buy from you over amazon (this applies to other lesser-known sites also)
  • Build credibility for your site vs other sites

Examples:

 

  • They pay me more than amazon does, and price is most the time the same
  • Foreign, or no-name garbage on amazon - use my site/specific site because it's better quality

Purchase something from your site (recurring)

 

  • Similar to channel membership
  • Similar to 1 time purchase
  • Don't leave people wondering

Examples:

 

  • if you made your own "patreon", why did you do it, and why is it better
  • Content with potential of getting demonetized

Do something in-person or realtime (consult, meetup)

 

  • Mentioning it, with benefits for audience
  • Outline the first step for audience
  • Events: end of video, cut it after sign up deadline

Example:

 

  • Filter/application, pre-call, contract
